California is the 5th largest economy in the world, yet funding for public schools has dropped dramatically over the last several decades since the passage of Prop 13. The intent is to create equity for all students across the state, but in practice, it increases districts like Pleasanton's need for outside funding. While we continue to advocate for increased state funding in our schools, we know our community believes in excellent public education for all of our 14,000+ students.
With your support, PPIE looks to reach its goal of $850,000 to increase our support of funding student focused programs at your school and throughout the district that enhance your child’s educational journey. This will include working with the district to expand wellness programs at the middle and high school, as well as offer targeted support to our elementary schools. Whether a large or small donation, everyone contributing makes a difference. Thank you!
When combined with company matching and direct funding from our business partners, PPIE donates more to our schools than we receive! Be sure to check and see if your company has a matching program as it’s an easy way to enhance your donation. You can check our list of company matching
