Amador Valley High School's Comp Civics team is thrilled to share that they have qualified to represent AVHS at the Center for Civic Education's “We The People” National Finals in Washington DC. This is an incredible opportunity for us to engage with our nation’s history and government in a hands-on, immersive way.
“We The People” is more than an educational program; it’s a civic education experience that focuses upon the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, instilling a profound sense of civic duty in us, the younger generation. It encourages us to interact with our government, gives us a platform to voice our thoughts, and provides us with a stepping stone toward becoming informed citizens who can someday make a difference.
However, to make this journey possible, the team needs your help. The costs for travel, accommodation, and other related expenses are significant and we have very little time to raise funds. Your generous donation will not only support our trip to Washington D.C., but also invest in our education and future as active, engaged citizens.
We are incredibly excited about this journey and the chance to represent our school and community on a national stage. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to our goal. Thank you for your support and for believing in us!
Let’s empower our journey to the “We The People” Nationals together!
